General hardness testing 1

Introduction of major hardness tests such as Rockwell and Vickers.

We would like to introduce our company's main and common hardness tests, as we develop and manufacture hardness testing machines. In the "Rockwell (HR scale)" test, an initial preload of 10 kgf is applied, followed by main test forces of 60 kgf, 100 kgf, or 150 kgf, using a diamond cone or a hard copper ball indenter to press into the test material. Additionally, there are other tests such as "Vickers (HV)" and "Knoop (HK)," which uses a slender pyramid-shaped diamond indenter with a test force not exceeding 1 kgf to press into the test material. 【Common Hardness Tests (Excerpt)】 ■ Rockwell (HR scale) ■ Superficial Rockwell scale ■ Vickers (HV) ■ Micro Vickers (HV) ■ Knoop (HK) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
